Moving to ile des Saintes, Guadeloupe

After a lovely evening visiting friends on their Super Maramu 2000 (just like ours), we finally got a weather window to move to a new place. Into the Rainforest in our Rental Car!

After waiting three weeks in Guadeloupe, we finally got our 2 day rental car. We started off bright and early in the morning in order to get the most out of the small, standard Dacia brand car. We finally found a taxi to take us to the zoo. And what a day or was! We were to meet our taxi at 10:00, but it began raining early in the morning. It was pouring at 10:15. Bouillante Thermal Baths - Feeling Like Bouillon

We followed our friends down to the next anchorage in order to experience the hot springs. At the Bouillante Thermal Baths the water flows downhill and runs the geothermal power plant as it flows to the sea. It mixes with the ocean water and become a natural thermal bath with healing properties. The water is 95°-113° as it rumbles down the mountains, the perfect temp for hot soup.
